What David most enjoys about photography is capturing the essence of a person or place. He approaches each assignment with a sensitivity and clarity of focus that enables him to convey the depth of a story even without words. Early in his career, he worked in fashion photography in Europe before pursuing a PhD and teaching philosophy. He returned to photography after his studies in aesthetics reminded him of the power of pictures.

David feels fortunate to be able to indulge his love of travel and meeting new people with stimulating photo assignments in places near and far. His work has taken him from Africa and working with NGOs in the field, to corporate boardrooms, to stylish shots in studio, to romantic and celebratory weddings. He brings to each project the ability and vision necessary to creative wonderful and meaningful photographs. He’s also told he is easy to work with – that his warmth and humor put his subjects at ease.

David resides in Minneapolis with his wife, son, two cats, a lizard, a hamster, a fish, and a frog.
